Time Square Ball Drop 2008 (RJEV)

My sister came over to spend the holidays with me in Washington this year and after the Christmas we decided to give Time Square a shot for New year. We stayed at our place in Long Island, went shopping on the 30th and on the 31st went to the Marriott Marquis in Time Square. At 4:00 PM they closed the streets and we came out and landed prime real estate right next to the hotel and along the path where most of the performers walked by. We caught glimpses of Lenny Kravitz, a bunch of American Idol people I don't know, Rev. Run from Run DMC, Kid Rock, Mayor Bloomberg, and a bunch of other people...

We were surrounded by people from all over the world, China, France, Venezuela and a bunch of Americans from all over the nation. We were prepared for the long waiting, got our self small chairs, water, got burgers from McDonalds and were suited for the cold weather.

I had a great time in New York and am looking forward to 2008!
