An oldie from the Make More Noise archives, so apologies for the quality, you'll be able to see why I've changed my workflow. This video is an introduction to the Automation features of Logic Pro with real world examples. I hope you find it useful.

  • hey, thanks for the videos james! Is there a way to shift automation nodes up and down together with all of the other tracks.I have a problem of mixing too loud and have tracks above 0 db and want to lower the entire mix, but in the same proportion of levels to each other and i have done an extensive amount of automation to each track. thanks again!

  • @SoltonArrohStudios Good question, in the classic I can't think of answer sense. What I'd do is choose a proportion, say -6db and turn each track down by that but I'm afraid that would be one track at a time. Which would be time consuming but less so than redoing the mix. Obviously save the mix as a new version number before you start so you can go back if you make a mistake. Sorry I can't think of easier way.
