This poem brought me to tears the first time I read it... Very powerful. You can almost feel his pain when he reads it. Brilliant and stunning.

the image in this of the wall consuming him and pulling him in... the battle over these emotions and the way facing the memorial is like re-entering that time for him, so much that he first sees a horrific image but then realizes its just a woman brushing a boy's hair...
this piece amazes, astounds, and teaches ...
