@mcgehee1980 I don't think that they think they are "black" (as you said, which I think is a little bit offensive to stereotype one race of people). They talk in a fairly typical Southern dialect (one of many in Southern American English). Dialects are a wonderful part of a language and the different culture and backgrounds associated with it. Also, just because people dress a certain way doesn't mean they live a certain kind of lifestyle. It's just clothing.
