  • Some mountains really do need to be moved. And some need to be removed.

  • "You don't have to move that mountain. Just help me, Lord, to climb it. You don't have to move that stumbling block. Just show me the way around it. You must climb a great high mountain to reach God's gracious kingdom. In His words you'll find the strength, if you will just believe them." ~ Trisha Yearwood singing a classic

Mountain climbing can be fun. And the mountaintop views are worth the effort it takes to climb up there.

  • This song was actually written by Keith Whitley. I think it was based around the chorus that Inez Andrews and Mahalia Jackson recorded.

  • The Inez Andrews version was recorded in 1962, and is still the best version there's ever been. And yes Mahalia Jackson did write this song. Doris Akers sang it too.

  • A version of this song was also written by Mahalia Jackson and Doris Akers. Don't know which came first...

  • Good to know that celebrities weren't immune to the "Rachel" haircut! LOL...great song!

  • wow i would have never known that she had sung this lol its awsome!

  • One of the best songs Keith ever wrote! I've been waiting for someone to post this! Thanks so much! I'll send everyone from the Keith Whitley Association over to watch this!
