Why would you even want less statues in the first place? Why wouldn't you want the Blessed Sacrament by the main altar? Why would you want to modify the beautiful habits worn in those days? Sure some things might have needed change in some places but I'm sure that could have been left to those individual places discretion. It should have been obvious that these ideas were going to be abused. Also there is a rapture, if not in content then at least in clarity.

Pope Francis said we shouldn't try to tame the Holy Spirit, that going back and turning back the clock on Vatican II is a mistake. Pope Francis should listen to his own advise and take the heresies out of the Ordinary Form Mass. Are we protecting the legacy of past clergy or are we the Catholic Church? If the Church wants to follow prtestant style mass, how does this show Catholicism as leader of the Christian Faith? VII intent was good! But it has caused more apathetic Catholics than Latin mass

The biggest tragedy in the Catholic Church. The big apostasy. We have to go back to the true Holy Mass , the real one.

The church is the epitome pompousness. Old men running around trying to look important or relevant. Polls clearly show that as we learn more about this reality & think for ourselves there is no need for a priest rabbi pope or mullah. Religion is & will lose its control on the minds of humanity.Love compassion empathy fairness understanding trust the basics of Secular Humanism will replace invisible men in the sky ghost fairies. All we need is each other to solve our problems. Peace

The trouble with the Second Vatican Council is not so much with the Council itself but the timing (which might not have been helped) and the handling (which might have been handled better) and the subsequent de facto destruction of every trace of the Latin Catholic identity.
Were it not for the grace of God, it would have destroyed the Church. Now, as the Church begins to reapproach her patriomony, there a the longer, harder climb up towards renewal. May God help us (as He always does).
