This is the short film my friend Eli and I created for the Campus Movie Fest. We didn't think it was much of anything, but it miraculously placed in the top 16 in a field of about 60 or so. It's weird. You have been warned.

FAQ:

Q: Do you smoke?
A: IT'S A PROP!

Q: What's it mean?
A: Nothing. Everything. Anything.

Q: Where's the music from?
A: We made it all. Including that lovely eardrum-bursting noise piece at the end.

(from IMDB)
A seminal work of surrealist postmodernism from Midwestern academia, WEAR BLUE TODAY is a captivating tale of young adult angst, technologic voyeurism, and life slowly devolving into a series of incomprehensible images strung together into foreign and bizarre forms equally incomprehensible. This five-minute film springs from the half-ingenious, half-disturbed, wholly-Lynchian minds of Eli T. Drumm and Joshua A. Hall. It is their first foray in what at least is destined to be a thorough, topically expansive, critically acclaimed career in film.

  • VERY enjoyable Josh :) And for that jerk who was negative about him, pshaw whatever. There's always people who think every piece of artwork is a jaded blahblah.

I really enjoyed the scoring to this, enhanced it very well...like Requiem for a Dream's score :)

  • lol thanks!

We DID make it in a week so it's not, like, high art, but I think that dude took it a bit too seriously.

And you're like the third person to tell me about the Requiem for a Dream soundtrack. 0_o

  • a prop :)

you must crack ur knuckles for me... thats so weird!

im fascinated by it and weirded out at the same time when ppl do that!

f that man i still love this thing.

  • Haha. I can crack just about every joint in my body - neck, ankles, back, fingers, toes, knees, shoulders...yeah. I'm weird like that. xD

  • Oh wow.

That was fantastic, Josh! The images/cinematography/editing was superb even before I understood - kinda, in my mind - what it was about.

    Thank you.

    And Eli.

    For making this.

PS: All the Josh fangirls out there: I'VE MET HIM! BAHAHA! x)

  • I think that when you and Eli get expelled from your group of surrealist friends, you should just scoff at them and say "No podéis expulsarme porque Nosotros SOMOS el Surrealismo".

I really like this. Quality work in one week. (y) (y)
