  • that bike is sexy. I just got my first bike, 1977 cb550f. Your's is definitely inspiring, love the subtle customization. You can still tell its a cb550, but it looks nasty.

  • @jergarner

Thanks! The seat is from RocCityCafe (modified a bit). Bars are generic 35mm Clipons.

  • Does anybody know what the largest rear tire a 74 CB550 will take? and also is there anyplace that sells wider rear tires so I can fit wider tires so I can lean a little more in the twisties (confidently)? how about era specific take-offs from a similiar bike thatr would allow for a tire enlargement?

    Thanks

  • I have the same bike and I want to put a pair of clip on bars on it. How do I do that without the headlight mount getting in the way? Since its welded on forks, I don't see much room for clip ons...

  • Niiiiiice....mine's a 9/75 CB550. Got the fucker for $200 and a pellet gun. Mind you, it was a rolling frame and about six boxes of parts...

I think I'ma go ride it right now.

  • Dork!

  • Schweeeeet bike . I live in the neighborhood , do you guys work on privately owned bikes?

  • Sweet bike ! I see you guys are in the neighborhood , do you work on privately owned bikes??

  • Hey, awesome bike. Are the front and back tires the same size?

  • really solid looking bike man what kind of pipes and muffler are you running?

  • @thedrivinggame Sweet ride. I actually live in NYC as well. I recently got my '78 CB750 on the road. Doing some cafe inspired mods . . . she's a work in progress.

I'm actually trying to get a meet together in the city with fellow CBers and the like cafes, let me know if you'd be interested in meeting up.

I'm pretty cool with the people at Motorcycle Federation on 6th ave and a few of the guys on sohc4.net showing interest . . . let me know. josh@no718.com
