Good and bad Mr. Smith, however I will watch a bad film from you anytime. It's relative, I even forgive your obsession with Ben Affleck.

so did this film make money or not?

@methrt3. Your head is clearly so far up yer pooper yer seing chocolate coverd pretzels. You know hate and thats about it.

Kevin Smith is pretty overrated, hit or miss. He seems to be under the impression that he's God's gift to the film world and a big whiny baby. He gets mad every time a critic doesn't like his movie. He thinks "they don't get it" and it's "not for them". I agree that critics are idiots, but a spade is a spade.

Boy did it work he payed for the movie before its released. It deserves oscars for parks and leo and kevin smith. It wotks alot of people are self releasing flicks not sure how itl do for others but kev was the director to doit for sure

@ShmeeSLG ME TOO! BUT Im damn sure buying the dvd!

I wish he'd stop trying to make out that $4 million is peanuts. Ed Burns just shot two movies for less than $150,000. $4 million is a big budget compared to what a lot of other people have to work with.

Red state was great, I legitimately feel bad for torrenting it.
Kevin Smith is a genius, and I'm more than glad to see him broadening his horizons.

@Kingportable Who the fuck are you? A troll? If not, you're pathetic. And here's why:
You made your way to a video about the background of a movie that you DIDN'T like. Which means that you have so much free time, you actually ran out of things to look up that you enjoy.
And then, to boot, you rattle off inane, meaningless bullshit like "get fitter, so that his next movie can catch some publicity", and comments about his weight. Fat jokes, really? "KingPortable: Pioneer". Fucking twat.
This could be the beginning of something great.

@squareonenyc Are you kidding? If you're a Kevin Smith fan, $143 essentially means you get to 1. See Red State, 2. Watch a 4-5 hour Q&A with Kevin Smith, and 3. Watch Michael Parks do a Q&A. That's well worth it. Plus, the movie is officially out in October. He acknowledges that. But Kev's live shows are soooo worth it. They are hugely interactive, epic, hilarious and very engaging performances. Purchasing my tickets asap.
