The Freelance Vandals, a rockin' band from New York, played on Shock Theatre in 1979. The late night horror movie TV show in Dayton, Ohio was hosted by Dr. Creep (Barry Hobart). The Vandals played at the "famous Les Fern dance studio," run by discotite Les Fern (tm), John Higgins. Everybody, boo-gee. For info: www.shocktheatre.org, www.drcreep.com, www.freelancevandals.net

  • The years covered here are '77-'80, before the Dow years (1981-1985?). It'd be great to see those clips.

  • I loved the Vandals...I never missed a show at the RTI. There's got to be some footage from those days. This clip doesn't capture the energy these guys had. J.P. was insane.

I couldn't understand how these guys didn't make it big--they were the real deal, pure R&R fun. Holiday was played on American Bandstand and the crowd loved it!!

Sadly, I heard Billy Cairns passed away recently. He was an awesome drummer & a nice guy.

  • Lame show. Dump the hosts and show more Vandals. Where's Boogie in the Barnyard?

There has to be some Right track Inn videos. Get 'em up.

  • OK, Thanks. The clips look great.

  • Wow, all these clips, but none of Dow Thomas? I thought he did a bunch of these segments.
