Guam- Chamorro Director Alex Munoz has returned and is ready to cast roles for his next feature film, I Fuetsan I Taotao...which means the strength of our people. But PNC's Josh Tyquiengco reports, the local filmmaker is also back to continue to rediscover his roots.



The casting call for the lead role of Jay Garrido is this Saturday at the Guahan Project from 2 to 6 pm . Munoz says no previous acting experience is necessary, but the actor must look between 16 to 18 years old. Auditions for the roles of Taga, Gadao and the female leads will be begin next Tuesday, October 21. For more information, contact Ben Salas at (671)689-1524.


Munoz will also be conducting a film directing workshop on October 25, 2008, from 2:00-4:30 pm at the University of Guam in Room 149, at the Leon Guerrero School of business and public administration. The workshop is open to the public but will be limited to 30 participants. There is a $5 registration fee.

  • I am grateful for your hard work in the film industry to preserve what little is left of our traditional chamorro culture. A Guamanian living in southern california. Thank you so much in respect to our ancestors and a legacy to past on to our children and grandchildren.
