I saw it at midnight and I was a big fan of the graphic novel and this movie meet my expectations and a little more. It did a great job capturing the story and the character. It is one of the best superhero movies and takes the superhero genre in a dark but serious tone that like when the comic came out, made the genre grow up and hope it does it with film. Makes the Dark Knight look like Fantastic 4.

Great review. Plus, did you do something diffrent with your hair. It looks great.

I disagree. Watchmen was enjoyable, but TDK is still a no-contest. Thanks for the feedback.

I agree with you. The Dark Knight is an instant classic while Watchmen(both the film and the graphic novel, no matter how influential) is muddled.

thomas jane was the punisher, ray stevenson is the real punisher, jane did a good job but did not look and act as close to the comic version as stevenson did. the punisher is a one dimentional character, but thats what makes him kick ass, because he doesnt have any redemning qualities like batman or spiderman, hes pretty much doomed to go to hell, but before he does hes going to take as many scumbags as possible with him lol.

i prefer the comedian in the movie because he was more of an asshole.

Stallone as Rambo and Rocky

Oldman as Gordon

Lugosi as Dracula

Oz as Yoda

Dalton as Bond (in my opinion)

Ford as Indy

Crenna as Colonel Trautmen

Ray as Anne

and so many others.

i noticed that you said that this was the first time the watchmen have been adapted to film.i think it should also be the last. even though i loved the movie, i agree with alan moore that the watchmen should not be filmed. the watchmen contains a message that only a graphic novel could deliver,and it should stay that way. you cant put on film what makes it watchmen.

i also didnt like adrian's performance. in the book he seems the most like a hero, and you would least suspect him to be behind the whole plan. in the movie, you could see in his eyes and the way he spoke he was up to something.

what i didnt like about the movie is the unnecasary(bad spelling) extensions of scenes, like the dan/laurie sex scene and the ozy/comedian fight scene.shortening them down would make more room for cooler scenes, like hollis mason's death or more scenes of laurie and jon on mars.

I didn't like Silk specter or Ozymandias. The girl I didn't think had acted well at all. And the Ozymandias character was just badly structured. Of all the characters in the story, He was supposed to be the one that looked and reminded us most of a hero. A becon of light. They didn't just drop the ball. They dropped it in a landfill.
