What bring songs into my life ?

the morning song of a bird
glorifying the city air
the sugary scent of mock orange
leave me breathless every spring

who fill my life with sadness

the sadness in the eyes
of the beggar drunk with loneliness
the adolescent in a despaired
of evil violence
for never been understood.

What make my life dance

the singing of the rain over my stone floor
the rainbow under the sun
the troubled gaze of the golden child
he knows everything
I know nothing.

What makes me coo
the surprise of the morning
in the eyes of my beloved
my finger prisoner of love
in the hand of a newborn child

Qu'est-ce qui fait chanter ma vie ?

Le chant matutinal de l'oiseau
Transfigurant l'air de la ville.
La senteur meringuée du seringa
Me laissant pantelante à chaque printemps.

Qu'est-ce qui fait pleurer ma vie ?

La tristesse résignée dans l'œil
Du mendiant ivre de solitude.
L'adolescent désespéré en mal de violence
Pour n'avoir jamais été entendu.

Qu'est-ce qui fait danser ma vie ?

Sur mes carreaux, le chant de la pluie
En arc en ciel sous le soleil.
Le regard chamboulant de l'enfant doré
Il sait déjà tout, je ne sais rien.

Qu'est-ce qui fait roucouler ma vie ?

L'étonnement du matin
Dans les yeux de mon bien aimé.
Mon doigt, prisonnier d'amour
Dans la main du nouveau né.
