Yeah i just got my new Remo Pro pad, so thought id give it a spin. Important notes, I dont read music, im trying to learn currently but struggling, so everything i have hear is just learned by listening and doing. Im playing some 3/4 and 4/4 parts, and some other stuff...im not looking to win any awards lol. Just another aspect of this guitarist :) Feel free to share criticism etc, any advice would be appreciated. Im very new to this pipe band and its a big step up for me. Yeah no MSR or medleys and stuff because quite frankly i prefer the marches lol......

**EDIT** Damn Youtube!!! It cut out the entire 4/4 part which went bloody well too... urgh. Well ill keep this on because its a little sample.

  • pulsey! keep them even!

  • Well theres alot of 'broken' rolls in there but i assure you its intentional for style and effect, but then again everyone can always get better.

  • rolls need alot o work! PLAY ON THE SNARE!

  • My HTS would Murder my webcam. I wouldnt say the rolls need 'alot' of work as its the easiest part... what would you say is wrong with them?

  • sounds like a 3/4 beating

  • Yeah, I was about to say the rolls sound very clean. Barely a slight accent here or there but just for style; I think the rolls are one of the best parts of the video.

  • Well done, ur technique looks good and thats a great start. One wee tip, if ur going just play on the pad then fine but if ur going onto a drum try and get the tips of ur sticks striking the centre of the pad/drum contantly(ur left hand either needs to come forward or ur right hand back)Wee tip is to draw a small circle in the midle of ur pad so u can see ur hittin the spot!

Keep going and dont be afraid to try anything that catches ur ear, there is a lot of support out there so use it !!

    Dazza.

  • dang would have liked to see that part that got cut off too bad...
