2010 - GCR 'Golden Oldies' Gala - Part 1 - The Morning..

The GCR 'Golden Oldies' steam gala, on a windy day at the end of May 2010.
Locos include the replica "Rocket" and "Planet", Furness Railway No. 20, and Beattie Well Tank, together with GNR N2 1744 and the Robinson 2-8-0.
In the early morning, the locos are being prepared at Loughborough - cleaned, then coaled.
In the smoke-filled shed, "Planet" is next to 'Britannia' pacific 70013 "Oliver Cromwell" which is in for urgent firebox repairs..
"Rocket" prepares to reverse its train up to Quorn, ready for the first passenger-carrying trio to Loughborough.
N2 1744 is ready to leave for Leicester.
Then - the first passenger trip of the day by "Planet", from Loughborough to Quorn...
