This is a special tribute to the late, great tenor and arranger BUZZ HAEGER - Four Renegades 1965 International Quartet Champs of the Barbershop Harmony Society. This was made for the Illinois District April 2008 - Thanks to Bill Ward and Christopher Baker for the help with this. All but two songs used are The Four Renegades, all but one is a Buzz arrangement. RIP, dear friend.

  • I love this video. He was my mom's uncle. I was at the memorial service and it was amazing to see all the amazing barbershop singers and the talent they all possess. That is where I got to meet Lynn Haldrin (The Empire Carpet Man) as they were friends. Love you, Uncle Buzz. We all miss you! <3

  • Buzz , what a great tribute. WE MEET BUZZ IN 1956 IN MUNCIE, IN. A.B.C. HARRIS TRIPLETS

  • Buzz sang woodshed mezzo with Nuance (mixed quintet) in the lobby of the Palace at Buckeye '02 (and out on the sidewalk, after they closed the lobby!) - & told us about his USMC group and his meeting with Mel Torme. What a talent, and what an amiable chap!

  • He taught three of us a whole song in Denver last year, and he sang the lead. I'm so lucky to have that memory.
