@AliceNchainz011 I've tried to post the direct link twice but it keeps saying "error". Anyway, it is on the site "ourdime" (dot-us) and the article is titled "How much do we REALLY spend on Welfare?".
We spend only about 5.5% of our total fed budget on direct poor assistance (housing, food stamps, etc.). Now, let's say, and this is me being extremely generous, that a whopping half of the people who get them are complete lazy asses who don't deserve a cent - even with that completely inflated rate we're now only at 2.7% going to "unnecessary" welfare. So everyone can stop acting like all of our taxes are going straight to supporting laziness.
@Jscompany7 I had the same education as my siblings and i'm on my way to a bachelors degree, while they're content to have kids and stay on welfare. Not everyone is born with the same drive. While I agree to some extent with Bill Maher (working poor wages aren't keeping up with inflation), there are some poor people who are just hopeless. Do you give money to bums on your way to work everyday?
@Jscompany7 The way you could possibly make dumb people smarter would be to raise their standard of nutrition in some critical phase of life or selectively breed them for intelligence, but that is going too far.
@Jscompany7 (continued) are wealthy due to some superior talent or skill they have. The 1% of the wealthy is composed of some incredibly talented individuals, some incredibly intelligent individuals, creative individuals etc.
If they are wealthy due to inheritance, their father or grandfather had some of these characteristics. There are some cases of pure luck such as striking gold or oil, but those are rather rare and they still make sense. He who strikes oil now has something to sell.
@Jscompany7 Education does not make a dumb person smart. Intelligence as measured by general mental ability 'g' is fixed. Intelligence does not change. It is analogous to your computer's processing speed. If you add more files of information to your computer, you will not change its underlying processing speed (in a positive way, you may change slow it down but that is irrelevant.) Ignorancve does not equal stupidity.
I justify that by, the fact that usually, if not due to inheritance, they
@raveonraven Plenty of poor people don't care about other poor people either...so thats irrelevant in my opinion. The super rich do what they do because THEY CAN...the next poor person who strikes it gold and becomes rich will probably be just the same as the cronies now on Wall St.
How do we defeat Corporations and Banksters? Simple. The middle and poor class creates their own faction. Screw the republican party and Democrat party we will get our own. The middle class and poor united are the true Americans and we are against corporate greed.
@varishnakov How the hell do you suppose a dumb person becomes smart without a good education. These so called dumb people will keep teaching their children to be dumb and poor. By the way their are many dumb wealthy people, how do you justify that?

@AWickedMind Do you have a source for that statistic? I'm not doubting you, but it'd be useful in a debate
