There was one really stupid scene in it, that didn't even go in the book, that made my whole class laugh their heads off (including me)

If you want to know what it's about, look it up, the book is by Jim Stovall...or rent the DVD.

yes she dies, she has leukemia, that is why she is always wearing a beanie, to hide her wig. she dies when her medicine fails to work. I watched this in AVID at school, it is a very good, but sad movie. it teaches you the value of life.
