Soon after a rising young singer-songwriter (Garrett Hedlund) gets involved with a fallen, emotionally unstable country star (Gwyneth Paltrow), the pair embarks on a career resurrection tour helmed by her husband/manager (Tim McGraw) and featuring a beauty-queen-turned-singer (Leighton Meester). Between concerts, romantic entanglements and old demons threaten to derail them all.

Just watched it and I NEVER expected such a deep story and this kind of an ending! Hopeful but still so sad! I love the movie! It's a great one, go watch it! Even if your NOT into country music, you might love the movie! Trust me!

Love the music, the movie wasn't too bad, but the ending is country weak...
If I disliked her character before, I definitely didn't like Gweyne's character at the end. Made me feel like she just quit, despite all this strength and courage shit. Weak sauce.

This was sadder than I expected, good movie, hearfelt with a realistic, hopeful but not perfect ending. The complexity of all the intertwined relationships of the characters was unexpected and heart-wrenching.
