  • In June 1988, this was the first Metallica recording i ever heard. [the next day i heard my first Metallica original song "Battery"] i became a diehard Metallica fan just from the drum beat intro to Helpless. In those days, it only took 2 seconds to get into Metallica.

  • This is when Metallica was the best! they still are good but their old school days kicked ass!

  • @boozygrogy : similar here...it was early1989 for me, bought the "justice" cassette tape on total blind luck, never having heard metallica before, and then i put it in my walkman for the ride home, turned it all the way up and BLACKENED...totally destroyed me...fan for life...

  • 7 people are completely helpless

  • man I feel like I was twelve again

  • @catlady669 It's true, anybody who knows the first thing about drumming knows that Lars is shite. Just because he's in a band you like doesn't mean he's any good. He's stiffer than a conservative prick on the parade ground surrounded by naked (insert sexual fantasy of own choice), he's got no fucking groove whatsoever, his fills are basic, his kick work is laboured and he hold the band back rather than driving 'em forward like a train wreck. He is, I repeat, utter shite. Luv you too.

  • ya they look like that because they sold there soul to gods choir master u can to if u not bright

  • @ElJeficitoTheSequal fk u fag!

  • PS and I'll shut up now: Vinnie Paul, Igor Cavalera, Clive Burr, AND....Denise Dufort & Julie Turner - my idols as a young metal girl drummer w/ a struggling all-girl thrash band in the 80's. Thanks y'all for puttin up w Mother Mayhem here! ;)

  • @ Hayabus: Can you do better? I'm a drummer and I can't. I'd say he's ONE OF the best, undoubtedly.

@Metallica4769: Fuck yeah! I got a personal drum lesson from Dave Lombardo - he attempted to teach me the fill in War Ensemble btw time sigs. I couldn't do it even when I was at my best a million years ago, but he tried. I gotta throw in Nicko McBrain, Hellhammer, Nick Barker, Paul Bostaph, Glen Evans, Gar Samuelson (RIP), Andy Galeon, Fenriz and...Pickles ;)

  • ohhhh this takes me back... Metallica &Diamondhead...care-free summers before bills, jobs, kids (I love em, but oh the sacrifices -I'd gladly do it again tho), heartbreak, pressure, financial &health probs &before life kicked me in the ass. And when I was a perky C cup and not a saggity DD :/ This is part of the soundtrack to my youth and wish I could go back then knowing what I know now. But time to pass the torch onto my teenage Metalhead son. Ah memories...bittersweet indeed

  • QUE FUERZA TAN HP LA DE ESTE TEMA EN ESE ENTONCES METALLICA ERA BRUTAL DIMOND HEAD FUE HONRADO
