  • No. A counter puncher/boxer, no matter how clearly he wins, leaves his fate to the judges. Judges that can be biased, incompetent, or be bribed. Example: this fight.

If you knock em out then you don't have to deal with that shit. That's why Marquez said that.

  • your comment shows lack of respect and no boxing knowledge. did i mention sexism? Marquez 1 this fight, although not officially, but not because John ran. He didn't run, he got backed up by Marquez's aggression & effective counter-punching. John was merely being smart, surviving. Were he 2 turn his back 2 Marquez, that would b considered running. He just reacted 2 a better fighter beating him, hoping 2 counter Marquez, but was unable 2 do so effectively. 2 call him a "pussy" is pretty ignorant.

  • thats what you do when you tasted the punch of the pacman. you ran and hide in South East Asia

  • @Edward90042 sorry.. but in indonesia, you have to knockout their champion 2 times before you win. hahahaha (well.. i'm still waiting for the people to suddenly explode...)

  • @BOCAHGILANESIA hahahaha... u are a idiot!!!!!!!!!

  • juara dunia kelas gigi tonggos pacman KO CJ

  • JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ VS CHRIS JOHN DESERVES A REMATCH !

  • 6 round was very close i thought john won round 7 marquez won the 8th

  • Even the judge from Mexico had JMM losing by 4 rounds, take away the points deducted for low blows, then the Mexican judge still had John winning by a couple rounds. I look at this fight and see it as pretty even as for as punches landed and pain inflicted, but John clearly controls ring generalship, and makes Marquez miss and look sloppy throughout the fight. It could have been a draw but I can't see how any one can say JMM went in there and beat this man on his home turf.

  • JMM's sloppiest fight -- did not dominate, missed lots of punches, and hadn't put CJ in real trouble, adding the fact that he allowed CJ to fight a competitive fight

CJ wins -- thats what you expect in a hometown fight like this

  • No doubt, its all good. I doubt Marquez will fight anyone below 140 now. He'll probably fight Malignaggi or Hatton and then hang em up. Chris John will probably end up fighting one of Yuriorkis Gamboa or Juan Manuel Lopez in a unification fight real soon.

  • I can see where your coming from, absolutely. To say the decision was suspect because of the scores is fair. But OBJECTIVELY, this was a very tit for tat affair. Very give and take. I didn't really see either guy dominating the other and had Marquez not had that point deduction, on my card he would have won. Agree that in the USA this may have been very different but Marquez should have known better than to go to Indonesia and expect a competitive decision to go his way.
