Jon,
I hope you make it back to the Bix again sometime soon. We have already booked out hotel again this year. It was an honor for us to be there to listen to the Statesmen. Can't remember ever seeing Kenny when he didn't have a smile on his face. Stay well.

Great to hear from you. Watching Dick Hyman on the piano, the late Kenny Davern and the rest of these great players was a real thrill for us.

Jennfier,
That is a very nice comment. Hope to see you in July. We wouldn't miss the Bix.

God bless these guys -- more proof that there's no old repertoire when it's approached with knowledge, heart, and swing.

We were just very fortunate to be there and to meet them. It was quite a thrill.

I was there, and I'm really lucky to have seen those guys. Not everyone of my generation can say that they saw that style played live by the people of that era. Yes, there will always be swing and dixieland records, and people will keep playing it, but it's very neat to see its roots firsthand. To be that close to the music. It was very special.
I'm going to remember that show for the rest of my life and I'm very appreciative that someone got footage and shared it.
Thanks!
