Being caught up on housework is great. Being caught up with bills is even better!
But being caught up to 80's commercials edition 102 is the saddest feeling of my life!
MOOOORE! You cannot rest!
LOL, thanks though, you have made my boring overnight job something to look forward to!

Sega Master System was a great console. Very popular in several countries including Brazil, yet never took off in the US or Japan. Is Panasonic related to an electronics brand called "National"? "Just slightly ahead of our time" was used in some old 1970s commercials I saw on YouTube for "National" electronics featuring ABBA.

is that Don LaFontaine for monstroid?

This is the most eclectic collection of commercials you've posted. Barbie and beer advertised during the same program? Wacky!
Just how many different sandwiches has Jack in the Box introduced and dropped over the years? That club sandwich looks really good.
So the family in the Panasonic ad dragged their TV on their camping trip, and decided to watch it instead of nature?
Somehow, I don't think it's safe for a 4-year-old kid to just follow a drumline down the street.

pizzaz sounds more like 'possesed' to me.
I can't believe VHS tapes used to be $30. DVDs are cheaper than that.

From a manufacturing point of view, a VHS tape costs a lot more to produce than a DVD. A DVD is just a plastic disc stamped on an assembly line and a VHS tape is a long piece of magnetic tape in a case with small moving parts.
And since home video was relatively new back then, people were willing to pay a premium price to watch movies at home. Of course, evil video pirates (Like my parents) had two VCR's, rented tapes and made their own dubs.

Some of those hairstyles seriously look like Halloween wigs. WTF were people of the 80s thinking when they thought a giant poof would look good?

If 80's fashion had continued to produce more and more outrageous hairstyles, I predict that the predominant form of entertainment of the 21st century would have been to watch girls flight to the death using only their hair and various fashion accessories as weapons.
