Adventists Against Prop 8

"Adventists Against Prop 8″ is an initiative started by a group of Adventists in California who decided, out of their commitment to the historic Adventist principle of the separation of church and state, to voice their concerns about (1) The Seventh-day Adventist Church State Councils public support of California Proposition 8, the proposition that would amend the state constitution to eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry, and (2) The imposition of a fundamentally religious definition of marriage that this Proposition represents.

As a young gay man who became acquainted with Adventism in my late teens, I am saddened by the fear and silence regarding this subject displayed by the leaders of a few churches I've attended. I am not a disease or some kind of leper more in need of forgiveness than those planted in the front row every Sabbath morning. The whole patriarchal system disgusts me. I have yet to find a church that actually shows me the love of God as shown by Yeshua.

You might gather that he has convictions that are fundamental to his own cherished beliefs system. This is a constant error you see in moral relativists.
