Apple does have original ideas.
So does MS btw (well not really at that time) but they have a bit of the GM syndrome. Of having all this great R&D but not always knowing how to commercialize it in a proper way.
Was MS after all that invented the tablet computer.
But Windows 7, mobile 7, zune and XBOX shows that MS has become better at it's products.
