The studio where I worked several years ago, New York's Sony Music Studios, was demolished in 2008. I went back there in October and got these clips. The studio is remembered in this short video as Tony Bennett performs "Fly Me to the Moon" with no mics - truly unplugged - from the studio's main stage on April 12, 1994. His performance that night, for MTV's Unplugged series, earned him the Grammy that year for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Performance. But even greater, his recording also won Album of the Year. In this recording you can hear how much he gave that night. Many good people - staff, crews and artists alike - gave a lot at that place.
