In late 1925 (October 6, 7, and December 8,1925) Stokowski made his first electrical recording ( Used under lisenced by Western Electric Vitaphone system ) of a symphony: the Dvorak Symphony No.5 (9) "From the New World", opus 95. Played by Orthophonic Vctrola " CREDENZA "

  • I just inherited the exact same pressing of Symphony no 5 that you are playing here in it's 5 record - 10 part entirety. Symphony 5 is common but what I did not expect to see was someone with the exact same 1925 edition putting up a video of it on youtube - made my day :)
