I love MIke Modano. He is for me the best Hockey Player ever. For me there is no Wayne Gretzky.Poor is, that I'm an German and I'm not live in America. I would be so excitedt if I met him.

You the stars have a part in it but hockey has grown in Texas because of Mike Modano, it wasnt just the stars we grew up watching, it was to see one of the most electric players in the game. Thank you Modano for makeing me a fan of hockey.

Instead of Jesse Mcartney and others like him my "crush" as a young girl was Mike Modano and Luke Skywalker. Says a lot about how I was raised. Love the guy. Best wishes for him. I just pray he'll retire as a "Star." Go Stars!

me too man. I was a fan before the stars came to dallas. My first memory of him was seeing him say to emilio estevez "really? I heard you became a farmer!" I was 5 and i became a fan of him and the North stars from that point on. Im from Lubbock and I heard they were moving to Dallas and it was the greatest day of my life, at that point anyway. He's been my fav athlete since i was 5 and I was lucky enough to see 8 times, including his last home game at AAC as a star.

@crosbyfan09 Actually Im his biggest fan ha ha. Ive been a Stars fan since about 1984 or so. I watched him get drafted when I was 9 aswell. The guy's been so amazing. He's given us that true superstar to brag about when other people wanna talk about their Yzermans or their Sakics. We have Modano. I live in Alberta but my sister and I are gonna head to Dallas next season. Wether its for his ceremony if he hangs em up, or hopefully to see him play in Dallas. My sister went a few years ago herself.
