Nice one Matt and crew!!!
For all the whingers, neck up! It is scientifically proven that hooks disslove/corrode away quickly leaving no harm to the fish. I wish that could be said for all your facial peircings ya dirty bloody hippies!!
-
@IAmAWildOne101 Wrong. The hooks corrode and fall away. Cutting it out could cause more bleeding and attract sharks. He made the right move.

my dad watched this with me...uhmm he should've cut the hook outta its mouth! now that poor fish has to live the rest of his life with a fish hook in his mouth! pissed now ._.
-
what does he have against boats
-
Amazing what people do for sport!
-
@TheFishingShow I agree with your comment up to a point, but if the hook was stainless steel it would be in this fish for ever, was it or was it not ?

-
@Eric2827 the marlin was hooked in the corner of the mouth, it would have hardley noticed the hook for the week that it was in its mouth, befor the hook corroded.

@Eric2827 As I've said before, the chemical reaction between the hook and the salt water means that it quickly corrodes out of the fish. It's completely normal practice to cut away hooks, so long as the fish is hooked in the corner of the mouth as this one clearly was.
I suggest you stick to feeding sausages to ducks (I see you felt worthy of posting such amazing footage on your own page), and lay off the tough talk, you stupid, weak failure of a human being.

He's a dumbass--he knew he was going to have to cut him away with the hook in him and still did it.
Piece of shit

@efooty09 The chemical reaction between the hook and the salt water means that it quickly corrodes. The Marlin would most likely have ejected the hook within a week. It's normal practice to cut away hooks still in fish, so long as they're hooked in the corner of the mouth as this one clearly was.
