  • This would of been so much easier if I had bigger hips!

  • you mean it might look better..... if you are skinny, then add several hip scarves. i just added one, but you can add several of different colours. It's not about how big your hips are or how big a movement you make. it's about the weight transfer.

  • Thanks for all your comments....a lot of people think that belly dance is all about baring your body, having tight beautiful body. but there are all sorts of belly dance out there, and i do a folkloric type, a type that is very earthy. And you can be dressed as you like, covered in chiffon, or you can have cabaret glittery gear.

  • you know that's great basics, but for people that don't have oriental background or spanish or whatever, (ppl with no ass such as me) this doesnt do much.. then the basics arent enough. i mean you gotta have something to shake right?

  • we all have hips, so if yours are small add on. Scarves: tie one with knot on one side, then another on top with knot on other side, then add shimmy belt. It's about how you feel when you move...

  • hahaha lol waiting for the bus, i always stand like that waiting for the bus, where are the other parts 7/10, 8/10, 9/10 and 10/10???? i dont see them

  • Do you straighten your leg completely when you push the hip and put your weight on the leg, or do you keep it slightly bent?

    Anyway, your video is wonderful. Thanks a lot!

  • just contract the glutials ( bumcheeks) when you "bump" your hip out. It makes the movement much more sharp and crisp. And if you keep your upperbody still ( thats the isolation part) it will show of even better
