@pooface006 I'll give you a serious answer: It is the same reason that some musicians prefer tube amps. It gives a different sound. The album version of the song is very simple, and peculiar because it lacks Wait's signature growl. His live versions of the same song always use the megaphone, which accentuates the growl.
