Sonic 2 special stages (part 1 of 2)

There are 7 special stages in Sonic 2 and I get each and every one of the 7 chaos emeralds in them while messing around with Tails (which makes them more difficult).

The difficulties to me are as follows (only the successful ones are used):
Stage 1: very easy
Stage 2: medium (needed 2 tries)
Stage 3: easy-medium
Stage 4: medium (needed 2 tries)
Stage 5: hard (needed 5 tries)
Stage 6: medium-hard
Stage 7: very hard (needed over 10 tries)

Because this video is 13.2 minutes long, I split it into two parts. The first contains stages 1 through 4, the easier ones and the second contains stages 5 through 7.

I really hate tails on these special stages cuz he makes the levels more difficult than they are cuz he is slow

Just remember that Tails reacts not to what's around, but to Sonic. The timing is 300 milliseconds after Sonic jumps. This timing is the trouble spot.

The only way to do that well is to play often enough to memorize the stages.

I used to play this at my cousin's house years ago every time I went there. I don't know why, but I somehow managed to hit every bomb and miss every ring every time I played.
