The newest software has a smart board locking program that you can only unlock from the computer so when the pupils come to touch the board, nothing happens and they cannot do anything unless you unlock it yourself.

Promethean Activboard all the way. Our school is trading back our leftover SMART boards. I am glade Promethean is now in Canada.

Does this thing support mouseover? The pointer jumps to where you touch so you cannot get pop-up menus to work and similar!
I had one but found that kids kept touching it by accident at the same time. I think the pen ones are much better having got in in my class now. You can draw round things and trace through posters and stuff and it does not malfunction
