Oh, barbarian is such a strong roman term...please, don't say such things. It was a word used to describe the Celts because the Romans did not understand the Celtic ways. Please and thank you.

@Etonlor333 barbarian is in reference to the people of North Africa (connection to Hannibal), the indigenous people are still called Berber to this day (Amazighen - or free men, in their own language)... the Latin term for the Irish was Scotia, the Romans never really encountered the Scotia, but just mapped the coastline of their island, the Romans fought the Picts.

Thanks for the tune names, @macwarner57. I love hornpipes and that little tickety-squall bit, and in particular that "Friendly Visit" piece. I wonder if friendly refers to Quakers (Society of Friends), or is just plain ol' 'friendly'?

It is called "The Friendly Visit" and is tune 1696 in O'Neill's.
