  • This is not iwama style aikido! The footwork is embarrassing. Also nage does the beginners mistake to confuse omote and ura. In ura nage NEVER steps in front of uke!

  • I think this cowardly jerk (zcxdmrt) did not have the sound on when he viewed this video. The only time my foot goes in front is when I'm showing the off-balance points. The only other point that I changed is the angle of the spin back prior to setting the hand hold. If you do the way I was taught, you are subject to getting flipped on your butt. I use Nishio Sensei's 90 degree angle and then uke can't flip me. Instead, it draws uke off-balance towards me. Don't know why the end scrambles.
