The Designers' Ball was the last event at the 2008 National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention, "Barbie on the Runway," held in Kansas City, MO from June 18-21, and attended by over 800 adult collectors. The banquet celebrated haute couture and featured at least one doll centerpiece at each table, donated by noted doll artists in the Barbie community. This film was shown at the banquet and spotlights each customized Barbie doll and the name of the doll artist who created it. "Sing Sing Sing" is the soundtrack as an homage to Kansas City, one of American jazz and swing's hometowns.
