this is natural tail carriage for an arabian horse. physically, arabians have one less vertebra in their back, so their backs are shorter and their tails are higher. this is also being held so high as an expression of happiness and high spirits. this mare is having fun and wants the world to know it :)

the bedouins used to ride arab mares into battle, not the stallions, (they would give out their position) the white one are favored more as the white colour reflects the suns heat and as a result, the white horses are more efficient in the heat of the desert. That is also why you wouldnt find many black arabians as it was not a popular colour as it absorbed the suns heat rays, tiring the horse more when riding

She is the spitting image of my beautiful friend Shazia who I was privileged to own for 22+ years, since she was an untouched 3 year old. She passed away on 11th November 2009 and I'm still aching.... I dreamed she is waiting for me in a field of flowers. RIP my lovexxx
what a gorgeous horse!! how is she under saddle? and is it just me or does she look pregnant?

She is an incredible mover under saddle and will arch her neck, flip her tail over her back, collect with her hind end coiled like a spring resulting in lots of airly light suspension and action of each step at a walk or trot. She has been a broodmare most of her life, but even after 10 years of not being ridden, she can be easily saddled and ridden like no time had passed. She is shown after recently weaning a foal, so still has the pregnant look.
