@imadefrumpy yeah i guess so, its all personal preference anyway and since adept has everything i need exept long range the sniper is my preferred choice

@Fenririon So have I, I remember gaining the extra ability but I picked slam every time just for extra biotics, I don't remember gaining access to extra weapons. Doesn't matter anyway - you can live without a sniper.

@imadefrumpy i played both games at least 4 times each and in both any class can gain access to the sniper rifle. in ME1 its an extra ability granted after you beat the game and start again with a class that doesnt have it and in ME2 when you infiltrate the collector base, you have the option to add an additional weapon or get the best weapon for one you already have. i know this because i am an adept and i use a sniper rifle now. check mass effect wiki for snipers or shotguns.

@Fenririon You can pick it up. But you can't use it. It's for class only, were you able to do that that would completely ruin the points of classes.

@imadefrumpy i know every class cant start out as a sniper only soldier, and infiltrator i think but when you go to the collector base for the first time you have the option to take a sniper rifle off the floor which is why i said at some point in the game
