  • Every generation thinks their music is better. In the 90's if I was going on and on about SWV or En Vogue, my mom would be like they didn't have anything on the Supremes or Martha and the Vandellas, then my grandfather would say none of these young'uns were as good as Ella or Billie. I'm sure in fifteen years my nephew will think some robot is the best thing smoking. There will always be good music out there, opinions just change as to what that is.

  • This is the song. He is soooo talented. I love his powerful voice.

The beat in the background too crazy.

  • i love this song .....this is one of my favorite song by johnny gill

  • @ventende That's how I started out. my parents would put on 80s music then later started putting older music, started from a young age so I guess it was easier for me to understand it and feel the soul than if I was to listen to that at the age of 17 now. So I listen to pretty much listen to any generation and genre and I don't mind. Unfortunately I'm not of fan of my generation of music that much but there are good artist out there and I search for them. Just wanted a say haha.

  • i feel like making love right now. is there a sexy female that is down?

  • @cancanthebaby Try tellin' my dad that lol:D

  • How can one not like this smooth silky song?

  • Music like this, keep you in trouble....

  • @looksrdeceivn Thank you! So many people seem to be itching to take offense to something nowadays. If you don't like something, keep it moving, you're not obligated to listen. Listen to what you appreciate.

  • @blakdog90 Well everyone has different tastes, which is fine. What you're saying is actually the point I was making in a nutshell. My parents and grandparents didn't think the music I liked was as good as the music they liked, they thought it lacked real soul too. That's why I try not to be so dismissive of what people like now, because older people were saying the same things about music that I really liked at some point too.

  • @cancanthebaby True, every generation has something to offer, the vocals of Billie and Ella could take you to another world, Aretha and Supremes generation was soulful and rhytmic, the slick funk of the 70's, the 80's were classy and sexy, then you had the new jack swing and smooth jams of the 90's, but this new millenium stuff, i'm just not feeling the"soul" like in earlier decades.
