  • @breaththeair - em....you got a point there.....chopping his toe on his earliest ALS struck would be enough....I dont know much about ALS but is this struck a body parts like gangreen, or a Nerve system..? if its the nerve, then there's nothing anybody would do right? :'(

  • Jason recorded this one when the ALS just started at his half Ankle and feet......

  • @MasYoNo25 its a defect in the brain, some deterioration i think. but it is reversable with enough will power, and jason has occasionally regained movement to his fingers. hope he gets better completely! i would savour that day

  • @MasYoNo25 ALS targets the whole nervous system. i think regardless of where you amputate it'll still spread because your nervous system is interconnected throughout your whole body.

  • @MasYoNo25

Unfortunately it doesn't work like gangrene or leprosy, it does affect nerves gradually until the person is rendered paralyzed :(

  • @MasYoNo25 i HUGELY doubt that would work...else I`m sure that`s what they`d do. ALS is a nerve disease. I believe it`s the same thing Stephen Hawking has.

  • @breaththeair Not sure that's how it works, mate

  • Jason may be the second longest living patient with ALS right behind Stephen Hawking. Not sure how they are defying the odds for that long but it's remarkable to have survived that long with ALS.

  • @breaththeair Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis affects the nervous system, although it usually paralyzes the legs first, even an amputation wouldn't be able to save him. Such a tragedy. Hopefully one day we will be able to overcome ALS and Jason will be back playing again.

  • @MasYoNo25 I think ALS targets your CNS, otherwise it starts in the brain and it destroys vital neurons that help you move etc. Chopping it off wouldn't have worked, unfortunately :(
