At the Lenox Hotel, I had the wonderful opportunity to ask Tedy Bruschi a few questions about how he felt about his team completing the 113th Boston Marathon!

I apologize for the quality. The interview was shot with a Sony hand-held (meant-to-take-pictres) digital camera. Thanks to Charlie Maneval for being a fantastic camera man!

Transcription for those of you who can't understand what he's saying:

INTERVIEW WIH TEDY BRUSCHI PATRIOTS PLAYER, STROKE SURVIVOR, MARATHON COORDINATOR.

Ashlie Anctil, BUTV10: So tell me, how was it watching everyone come in on your team? You know, how proud do you feel?
Tedy Bruschi: Very proud, very inspiredby them. Because I think of them when I train for the football season because what they do from October to now is very inspirational. They think about their stroke heroes who theyre running for; theyre raising funds for stroke awareness; and theyre training to run the most difficult road race in the world, so theyre very inspiring to me.
Anctil: And what did you hear most feedback about this year about the Boston Marathon?
Bruschi: I think from my group its just that they appreciate that they were a part of something because some organizations really dontthey give you a number and you run and you raise money. For us, were all sorta in the same boat. Were all here as stroke survivors or, uh, proponents of stroke research and stroke awareness and were runningwere doing something for someone else. Theyre running for their stroke heroes. Theyve been affected by stroke somehow so theyve got a great feeling of being a team. Thats why we call it Tedys Team, because were, were all sorta, uh, on the same team trying to achieve the same goal.
Anctil: This has been a long journey for you guys, and now youre coming to an end. Whats next?
Bruschi: Whats next is we take a deep breath and sort of exhale
Anctil: Laughs.
Bruschi: Uh, sorta just bask in the accomplishment that all forty seven of my runners this year have accomplished. Weve all crossed the finish line now, and uh, we have the Falmouth run. Its coming up in August. Its a shorter race; its about seven and a half miles, but we still get a lot of people that try to run that race. But ah, take a break, you know, gear up again, and uh, Tedys Team 2010 will be uh, officially announced in October.
Ashlie: Thats fantastic. Thank you so much for your time.
