Well you say what a waste, but this beauty ( Loch Earn which i flew on 4 times to Lanzarote from London Gatwick) is still in 1 peice, unlike the others that are in little peices in the u.s desert or recycled into tin cans.
Apparently its being made into a restaurant. if i could afford it i'd buy it too and whack it in my back garden!!

but some day 100 years in the future... a rich billonaire well refurbish that plane and it will fly again if it continues as a museum piece.

As far as I know it is still in the same condition. Sometimes you can get to it, most times not. Ask the guy in the cafe if the museum is closed. If you buy something from his cafe he may just let you through the gate!
