How To Connect Your Laptop To Your Tv Using Hdmi Cables And Use Pc Audio On TV

a quick tutorial showing you how to connect your laptop to your tv using hdmi cables STEPS BELOW!


Step 1: get a hdmi cable and plug one of the sides of the cable into your tv and one into your laptop and make sure your tv is off other wise this wont work

Step 2: turn on your tv and go to hdmi 1 or 2 whatever you have it hooked up to and it should be good but if you want audio to play through your tv go to start, control panel, click on hardware and sound then under sound there should be something that says manage audio devices click on that the click on your tv then click on set default and then you ARE DONE HAVE FUN WITH IT!!

I have a question, everything comes through to the telly fine through my laptop so thanks :) however when I want to get sims to come through to my telly from my laptop, the screen is just black :S

@RachyStruthers there is a problem with some hdmi/vga cables that may restrict app activity such as sims or alot of other pc cables, you can get a good set of hdmi cables from monster for around $60 this should work, i have used monster cables for gaming, also sometimes the tv can not handle all of the same pixels at a time.

any time i connect my pc or cyclone media player to the tv it shows nothing just black screen please help. i didnt hav this problem b4. it started today. i think is some thing to do to my tv but i dont no how to fix it. please help
