AGEGE BREAD IN LAGOS

Oh Bread! Agege bread is the most populous daily bread in lagos; not because the bread is nutritious but it is so cheap and filling and therefore attracts mass patronage . However the bread has been under scrutiny especially dury the era of prof. Dora Akunyili the former director general of the national Agency for food and drug administration and control NAFDAC when it alerted the public that Agege bread producers uses bromate which is a cancer causing agent. But beyond the poisonous chemicals used in slowly killing its large number of customers, most of the baeries where the bread is produced are nauseating. this report was an unannounced raid to three baeries in Mushin area of Lagos state
