man, you remember how good they were live when they were sober? Listen to how crappy Lake Bodom sounds on the CRY DVD. This is a really bad quality compared to the original.

yea...well it is kinda lame how they act nowdays... all they do is drinking and partying... i mean, do they even remember why are they here? the fuckin music, thats why... that really pisses me off...

I do wish they would go back to the way they were before though. I think they should sober up a bit because that fucks up your stage performance and Alexi needs to do something about his voice. It been sounding pretty bad lately, even on their latest album! The cigarettes certainly aren't helping matters either. I heard he got a sore or something on his throat. Know anything about that?

yea they did, but they were also musicians back then... but lately theyre only focused on partying and drinking (and talking about it with pride in public ofc)... and yea... alexis voice does sound kinda shitty now... his playing too... he often plays wrong notes, forgets some parts of solos n stuff... somebody needs to be reminded of their real 'profession'...

They are much higher quality. Jacksons obviously aren't "bad" but custom ESPs are much better. Of course Roope still uses his old jacksons, they are good guitars.

oh, and one more thing. i like to stick to the ORIGINAL (jackson). i work at a music store and had the chance to compare the quality of pre- and post-fender jacksons - and tbh, there is not the slightest difference. the medium priced models even come with a case which is a very fair move. even the 1000€+ LTDs arrive only in the cupboard box.

right, and that very reason is money, and nothing else. i had the chance to talk to henkka on the frankfurt music fair two years ago, and what he let shine through was that ESP offered them a better "deal", speaking of money and a much faster distribution of custom guitars. and guess why roope still uses his jackson on occasion when performing live. see blooddrunk studio report and live pics for proof.

haha lmfao. Jackson custom shops are good, but ESP custom shops are better. The quality of a jackson custom has degraded significantly since fender bought em out years ago. It takes 1+ years to actually receive your guitar, and the process is much more a pain in the ass. ESP takes 3-5 months, and costs twice as more. If you really are competing custom american to custom Japanese than you are out of your fucking mind. There's a reason Alexi, Henka and Roope are all ESP now.

The ESP custom shop is much better than the Jackson. It's also tons more expensive but whatever haha

i don't actually think alexander was as much an influence on bodoms sound as people are making him out to be.if you look at the lyric booklet on some versions it will tell you that the guitars are written by alexi.

maybe roope did have influence i can't tell for sure.but they were in a band together in sinergy while alex was in children of bodom.but who really knows
