On September 26, 2010, I visited Bowen's Cider Mill located in South Central Michigan (USA). I did an earlier video on this mill, but decided to break the tractor meet out so that it could have its own coverage.
This settlement where Bowen's Mill is located began in the mid 1830's. The village remained rather small and in 1864, E. H. Bowen constructed the present gristmill featured in this video. Bowen and his son William operated the mill, famous for its buckwheat flour, until 1912.
The music that accompanies this slide show was done by Jon Sayles (a guitarist) who specializes in Early Music and is paying homage to some of the great composers from long ago.
@stoianovaurelia Thanks for the comment. I used an echo effect on the guitar and I thought the final melody sounded like a dulcimer or other such instrument. I was just doing an experiment.
