I followed ur example but how come when i start using the brush tool the dots wont appear... can you pls help me????

That could be 1000 different things... so, the most usual mistakes could be...

-you are not painting on the mask but on the actual layer (always clic the mask to paint on it)

-you are painting with black instead of white to show the layers content (white makes the layer content visible )

-you have some selection active somewhere else

so there... i think those are my most common mistakes

I just copied some zoom-lines i had saved and added it on top of the other layers, and set it to MULTIPLY so all white parts are rendered as transparent.
