Been meaning to cover Meshuggah for a while now, and I figured this song might be a good place to start.
Really hard song, and very interesting to play. Please pardon all the mistakes D:
Now I'm just sitting on my ass, waiting for all the Thordendal fanboys to hate me for not playing the solo right. :)

  • Good cover, but you really need to do the original solo.

  • @basement94 Shit, yeah I know dude.

  • hey what kinna equipments use for direct recording???

  • @dablacksolja Hey man, I use Native Instruments Guitar Rig 3. Pretty pimp if I may say so. Tone is shit in this video though, because I was a noob :3

  • Dude I have a 6 string, I have the Ibanez RGA32.

Its a beautiful guitar but not tuned to the style I want to play, which is very like Meshuggah.

2 questions if you dont mind pal.

1:What tuning are you set to, as I know Meshuggah use 7 and 8 string guitars, your 6 string sounds spot on.

2:I am in C tuning, how would you get to your tuning, I have a fixed bridge so I figure I wont need much adjustment.

    Thanks bro and excellent cover.

  • 1: On the early albums (before Nothing), they use 7 strings tuned a half step down - that is, A#. After that they use 8 strings with the same tuning - that is, F. I have 52 gauge strings so tuning down this low isn't a problem.

2: From C-standard, just tune down another step (2 notes) to A#-standard.

    Good luck!

  • this song is crazy. nice job!

  • You didn't play the solo right! No rly, nice job dude :D

  • damn man, nice tight rhythm! keep that shiz comin

  • 52 gauge strings? Cool!

Unfortunately I have only a guitar...

With two guitars I could use one for "high tunings" like standard, drop D, D tuning ecc. and the other guitar for low tunings like this one.
