You're right, you're right... :^) I admit I've been free-riding for a long time. I don't have anything as interesting as you have, but nevertheless there is something I could add. E.g. I must dig out the Muenchen 1981 files from my CD piles. Bad quality though.

81 is a video I'm searching for years. I even called the Deutsche Ruderverband. They don't have the 1981 Worlds in their archives.

...I kept searching among my CDs for it until 2:00 this morning, to no good! I had made a videoCD many years ago. A friend of mine had obtained it from the Italian squad's technical archive. I'll keep trying, it must be somewhere. Very bad quality though, the VHS was very old...

You know, back then I was at a friends' home, 3:00 in the morning, watching this one live, when with only 600 m to go the Italian TV passed the line on to the *semifinals* of 200m women, and we started swearing so loud that some people woke up, and my friends' father got angry... Those were the days!

PS Kolbe's catch is more beautiful than ever.
