@MrSpinbad do you have some recordings/videos of those great maestros?..would love to listen...i have not heard much of any of them except Ustad Zakir Hussain..and i just cant imagine anything "better" than this..

Ustad Zakir Hussain and Ustad Tari Khan are two very precious Tabla players. Among the elite of World,s tabla players. Each of them is special and have its own clas. Its not wise to compare one with other. Try to listen music not the musician. Beleive me u will enjoy more. Ustad Allah Rakha Khansahib and Zakir Hussain Sahib are the two, who have taken Tabla to a very differant level. I found Ustad Zakir Hussain a better teacher as well.
